ORA Elastobit PU 1K – Polyurethane bitumen waterproofing membrane

Bitumen-modified polyurethane liquid waterproofing membrane – One-component ORA Elastobit PU 1K is a one-component liquid waterproofing membrane based on bitumen-modified polyurethane. The product hardens by reaction with humidity in the air to form a resistant, durable and perfectly waterproof elastomeric coating. Suitable for horizontal and vertical surfaces, it offers a reliable solution for waterproofing structures exposed to humidity, infiltration and temperature variations. ADVANTAGES Excellent adhesion to many construction materials (concrete, mortars, metal, etc.). Application in a single coat possible on horizontal surfaces. Durable waterproof barrier, resistant to aggressive ground conditions. Flexible elastomer, capable of bridging cracks up to 2 mm. Irreversible chemical hardening: does not melt or sag, even at high temperatures. Resistant to thermal cycles, UV and atmospheric agents. Easy to repair in the event of local damage. FIELDS OF APPLICATION ORA Elastobit PU 1K is ideal for the following waterproofing jobs: In the building Balconies, terraces, roofs Bathrooms, showers, kitchens Floors subject to pedestrian traffic Hard to reach areas Infrastructure & technical works Stairs, stadiums, stands Foundations and buried structures Concrete slabs, asbestos-cement roofs, domes Water channels, basins and small reservoirs APPLICATION METHOD A. Preparation of the support Concrete surfaces: Clean carefully to remove dust, laitance and loose particles. Repair holes, potholes and irregularities with a suitable repair mortar. The support must be clean, dry and solid. Metal surfaces: Remove rust, scales and contaminants by wire brushing or sandblasting. Dust before application. B. Application of the primer On new concrete, ORA Elastobit PU 1K can be applied directly. On old, porous or metallic surfaces, a primer is recommended. Primary preparation (on site): Mix ORA Elastobit PU 1K with ORA WP SOLVENT in a 3:1 ratio (3 parts product: 1 part solvent) Mix with a blender at low speed. Apply with roller, brush or airless spray. Primer drying time: 6 to 8 hours. If more than 24 hours pass, reapply a fresh primer.
