FIBRE METALIQUE ONDULEES POUR BETON MTI
Corrugated metal fibers for concrete Corrugated metal fibers are used in concrete to improve its mechanical performance, including tensile strength, flexural strength and crack control. They act as a diffuse reinforcement, distributed evenly throughout the mass of the concrete. The incorporation of metallic fibers makes it possible to transform traditional concrete into fiber-reinforced concrete, a composite material offering increased durability, better structural resilience and a reduction in pathologies linked to shrinkage and mechanical loads. Features and Benefits Improved mechanical performance The addition of corrugated metal fibers significantly improves tensile and flexural strength, while increasing the ductility and energy absorption capacity of concrete. The material becomes more efficient in the face of dynamic stress and repeated loads. Effective crack control The fibers act as microscopic bridges, limiting the opening and propagation of microcracks due to the shrinkage of the concrete during drying or to mechanical stresses in service. Reinforced durability Fiber-reinforced concrete has better resistance to shocks, intense traffic, vibrations and abrasion, which increases the lifespan of structures and reduces maintenance costs. Alternative to traditional frames In many applications, corrugated metal fibers can partially or completely replace welded mesh and conventional reinforcement, simplifying the design and implementation of concrete structures. Ease of implementation The use of fiber-reinforced concrete reduces installation time, since it does not require the manual installation of metal mesh. Implementation is faster, more uniform and more secure on site.
