Sikagard®-905 W – Water-Based Water-Repellent Waterproofing Product Description Sikagard®-905 W is a ready-to-use surface water repellent, based on water and silanes/siloxanes, designed to protect mineral materials against water penetration. It forms an invisible barrier which greatly reduces capillary absorption without changing the appearance of the support. Main applications Concrete, mortar or plaster facades Natural and artificial stones Absorbent bricks and masonry Prevention of infiltration on exterior walls Protection against rain, humidity, dirt and freeze/thaw cycles Properties / Advantages - Invisible water repellent, does not change color - Significantly reduces water absorption and efflorescence - Allows the support to breathe (vapour permeable) - Good resistance to UV, bad weather and alkalinity - Ready to use, simple application with roller, brush or sprayer - Compatible with vertical and inclined surfaces General characteristics Base: aqueous silane/siloxane dispersion Appearance: milky liquid (becomes invisible upon drying) Consumption: 0.15–0.3 L/m² depending on porosity Drying time: 1-2 hours to touch Vapor permeability: high (breathable support) Preparation of the support Clean, dry, absorbent support Eliminate dust, moss, grease Repair cracks or detachments before treatment Application Apply generously and evenly. On very absorbent surfaces, apply a second pass “fresh on fresh”. Protect from rain during initial drying. Packaging Cans (subject to availability) Storage 12 months in its original packaging, protected from frost and heat.
